Brown vs Smith at UFC Fight Night: Unbeaten Jacobe Smith Meets a 6-Foot-3 Veteran

Jacobe Smith is 13-0 with 10 knockouts, and nine of his wins ended in the first round. His most recent, on Oct. 3, 2026, was a first-round knockout at 1:32. Four weeks later he is back: on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Meta APEX in Las Vegas, he faces Jamaica's Randy Brown in a welterweight bout on the main card of UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs Nolan.

Smith, 30, nicknamed "Cobe," was born in Muskogee and fights out of The Academy Fight Club. He came up as a wrestler: an Oklahoma state high school champion in 2013 and a two-time NJCAA national champion at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. In the UFC since January 2025, he lands 6.91 significant strikes per minute at 67% accuracy and averages 7.92 takedowns per 15 minutes, with 49% of his significant strikes coming on the ground.

Brown, 36, "Rudeboy," is from Spanish Town, trains at Budokan Martial Arts and has fought in the UFC since January 2016, after being discovered on "Dana White: Lookin' For A Fight." He is 20-8 with eight knockouts, five submissions and seven decisions. At 6-foot-3 with a 78-inch reach, he is five inches taller than Smith and has six inches more reach. His most recent fight, in April 2026, was a unanimous-decision loss.

  • Striking accuracy: Brown 47%, Smith 67%.
  • Strikes absorbed per minute: Brown 3.35, Smith 2.77.
  • Takedown defense: Brown 75%.
  • Knockdowns per 15 minutes: Brown 0.39, Smith 0.66.
  • Average fight time: Brown 10:31, Smith 4:33.

The question: can Brown keep Smith at the end of that reach, or does the unbeaten wrestler close the distance and drag the fight to the mat?
