Magomedov vs Rowston at UFC 333: What Abus Magomedov Brings

Abus Magomedov, the #12 middleweight, takes on Cam Rowston at UFC 333 on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

The 36-year-old, who fights out of Germany, is 29-7-1 and has competed in the UFC since September 2022. He stands 6'2" with a 78-inch reach and does almost all of his damage on the feet: he lands 3.06 significant strikes a minute at 49% accuracy, 87% of them standing. Fourteen of his wins have come by knockout, eight by submission and seven on the scorecards, and 16 of them ended in the first round. Nobody has taken him down in the Octagon yet (his takedown defense is 100%), and he averages 2.50 takedowns of his own per 15 minutes. His fights run 9:46 on average.

That leaves Rowston with one question: how do you solve a striker with that kind of finishing record when the takedown isn't there?

The early prelims begin at 6 p.m. local time, the prelims at 8 p.m. and the main card at 10 p.m. Get your seats: UFC 333 tickets.
