Nallo vs Landwehr Preview: "Mango" Meets "The Train" at UFC Edmonton
Mandel "Mango" Nallo is 37 and Nate "The Train" Landwehr is 38, yet nothing about this lightweight matchup looks slow on paper. The Canadian and the American, both unranked, meet at UFC Fight Night: Buckley vs Malott on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
None of Nallo's 14 wins has gone to the judges. The 14-4-0 Canadian has eight knockouts and six submissions, and 12 of those wins came in the first round. His UFC.com numbers come from a short body of work since his Octagon debut on April 18, 2026 (46 of 79 significant strikes landed), but they jump off the page: 8.26 landed per minute at 58% accuracy, a 5.39 knockdown average and an average fight time of 2:47. The clinch is a real part of his game: 19% of his significant strikes land there, compared with 76% at range. His record shows nine knockouts, two submissions and seven decisions, with three first-round finishes. He averages 0.15 knockdowns and 0.73 submission attempts per 15 minutes and stops 72% of takedowns.
Physically, Nallo has the edge. He's three inches taller (72 to 69) and owns a three-inch reach advantage (75 to 72). Landwehr's UFC fights average 9:21, more than three times as long as Nallo's. So the question is simple: can Landwehr weather the early storm and drag this into a long, grinding clinch fight, or does Nallo's first-round firepower decide it before then?
