Pasley vs Tafa at UFC 335: Unbeaten Newcomer Meets a Seven-KO Kickboxer

All seven of Junior Tafa's MMA wins have come by knockout, five of them in the first round. On Saturday, Dec. 12, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the Australian faces unbeaten Quentin Pasley, who makes his UFC debut in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 335.

Tafa, "The Juggernaut," is based in Brisbane and came to MMA from kickboxing. He is 7-6, has been in the UFC since 2023 and is the younger brother of UFC veteran Justin Tafa. His most recent fight, in June 2026, ended in a first-round knockout loss. In the Octagon he lands 3.53 significant strikes per minute at 52% accuracy, absorbs 2.70, averages 0.53 knockdowns per 15 minutes and stops 73% of takedown attempts. His average fight lasts 6:18.

Pasley, an American, is the bigger man on paper: 6-foot-4 with a 78-inch reach, to Tafa's 6-foot-3 and 75 inches. His ufc.com profile tracks only 4:41 of fight time, in which he landed 28 of 45 significant strikes, too small a sample to read much into.

The question: can Pasley use his length to keep Tafa at distance, or does Tafa land the kind of knockout that has ended every one of his wins?

UFC 335 starts with the early prelims at 2 p.m. local time, followed by the prelims at 4 p.m. and the main card at 6 p.m. Get your seat: Pasley vs Tafa tickets.
