About Accor Arena

Accor Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, open since 1984 and known for most of its life as the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy — a name still heard, along with the shorter Bercy Arena. Its sloping, grass-covered exterior walls make it one of the more recognisable buildings on the eastern side of the city.

Capacity depends entirely on how the floor is laid out: up to around 20,300 for a concert in the round, and lower for sports configurations where the floor is given over to a court, a rink or a cage. For a fight night the floor is cleared for the octagon and seating wraps it on all four sides, so the hall reads as a single bowl rather than a stage with an audience facing it.

The building has hosted most things Paris stages under a roof, from tennis and basketball to boxing and concerts, and it served as an Olympic venue in 2024 for artistic and trampoline gymnastics and the basketball medal games. It is enclosed and climate-controlled, so conditions inside are the same whatever the weather outside.

Location and Setting

Accor Arena stands on the Boulevard de Bercy in the Bercy neighbourhood, on the right bank of the Seine in eastern Paris. It is a city-centre location rather than an out-of-town complex: the arena sits inside the ordinary street grid, with the Ministry of Finance next door and the river a short walk away.

Bercy Village, a pedestrian street of restaurants, cafés and shops set in former wine warehouses, lies within walking distance and is the natural gathering point before an event. The Parc de Bercy runs alongside it, and the footbridge over the Seine connects the district to the Left Bank.

Because the arena is central, a visit does not need to be planned around it: most Paris accommodation is within a straightforward journey, and the surrounding district gives somewhere to eat before doors rather than requiring a separate trip.

Getting There

Paris is a public-transport city, and Accor Arena is built for arrival on foot from a station rather than by car.

Transport options:

  • By Métro — the closest station is Bercy, at the arena itself, which makes the arena reachable from across the city with a single change at most
  • On foot and by bike — the Bercy district is walkable from neighbouring quarters along the river, and the city's bike-share network serves the area
  • Taxi and ride-hailing — both operate throughout Paris; drop-off and pick-up points shift on event nights when streets around the arena are managed for crowds
  • By car — possible but rarely the best choice: central Paris parking is limited and expensive, and the surrounding streets are busy before and after events

Both Paris airports connect to the city by rail and coach, so arriving visitors can reach the district without a car. Crowds converge on the station in the hour before a UFC card, so allow extra time for the walk in and for security screening at the doors. Arriving well before the opening bouts leaves room to clear entry and find your section without rushing.

Venue Facilities

As a venue built for full-house events, Accor Arena carries the infrastructure expected of a major indoor arena. The seating categories released for a given card are published on that event's page.

Food and drink outlets operate throughout the concourses during events, and card and contactless payment are accepted across the building. Restrooms and accessibility provision are distributed around the concourse; accessible entry and seating arrangements for a given event are confirmed by the organiser.

Security screening at entry follows the standard applied at large French venues, and bag restrictions are common at events of this scale. Prohibited items usually include professional cameras, large bags, and outside food and drink. Exact entry rules for a specific date are published ahead of the event — check them before you travel.

Visiting Paris

A fight night at Accor Arena fits into a Paris trip without reshaping it. Staying in the 12th arrondissement puts you within walking distance of the doors, while a base anywhere on a direct Métro line works just as well — the city's transport makes the arena reachable from most central districts. Booking ahead is advised around a major event, when demand across the city rises.

The rest of Paris needs no introduction, and the eastern districts around Bercy are worth the walk in their own right: the Parc de Bercy, the riverside paths and the Coulée verte all sit nearby, with the Marais and the Latin Quarter a short ride away. Early September is usually mild, which makes an afternoon outdoors before an evening card a comfortable plan.

Visitors from outside the Schengen Area should check entry requirements for France well before booking travel, as rules differ by nationality. Line up your visit with the UFC 2026 schedule, read how a fight night works on the about the UFC page, see other locations on the venue overview, or return to the homepage for ticket access.
